The RFID Consortium is comprised of companies involved with radio frequency (RFID) technology. The Consortium’s goal is to promote rapid adoption of RFID by ensuring manufacturers and customers have access to essential RFID patents, at a reasonable cost. Member companies currently include:

The RFID Consortium’s UHF RFID licensing program is intended to facilitate widespread adoption of UHF RFID technology, which offers manufacturers, retailers, and consumers enormous benefits in shipping, inventory management, and other applications.
The Consortium has engaged the Sisvel Group to act as administrator for the UHF RFID licensing program. Under the program, Sisvel offers a license to a portfolio of patents essential to the UHF RFID standards announced by EPCglobal and the International Standards Organization (ISO).
For nearly 30 years Sisvel has been a leader in the licensing community. Sisvel has successfully managed numerous licensing programs and operates with a global scope from its six main offices located in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, Virginia, Hong Kong, and Japan.
