The RFID Consortium is comprised of numerous industry leaders involved with radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. The goal of the RFID Consortium is to promote adoption of UHF RFID technology by offering all industry participants access to patents essential to practice the UHF RFID Standards announced by EPCglobal and ISO (International Organization for Standardization) at a reasonable cost.

The RFID Consortium offers a license to a portfolio of patents essential to the UHF RFID Standards. This licensing program is intended to provide predictability and stability as well as facilitate the widespread adoption of UHF RFID technology, which improves efficiency in shipping, inventory management, and other applications thereby providing significant benefits to manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.

The RFID Consortium has engaged the Sisvel Group as administrator for its UHF RFID licensing program. As administrator, Sisvel promotes and manages the licensing program of the RFID Consortium throughout the world.  If you are interested in obtaining a Patent Portfolio License or if you believe you own a patent essential to the UHF RFID Standards and wish to join the RFID Consortium, contact Sisvel.

For over 30 years Sisvel has been a pioneer and leader in licensing.  With over 100 professionals operating from offices in Italy, Germany, Luxembourg, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United States, Sisvel successfully manages prominent licensing programs.
